Has anyone ever experienced it? I'm interested mostly for my own growth/exploration, not really to teach. Their 500 hour program looks fabulous too.

We're doing a workshop there in mid September right after the Omega Conference.
Don't know much about them now but will probably have a feel for their operation after.

thank you! Their application is due on 9/11, actually. but if you get to spend time there before that, and any red flags or things you find really wonderful come up, please let me know.

They also have another location in the Hamptons (tip of Long Island). It's supposed to be a very nice atmosphere. Keep meaning to check it out. They always send discount class passes to me, I just don't have the time.

Well then you'll need to decide without my input.
Better than relying on the external have you tried meditating on this? Keep it simple and just connect with your heart center so you can get out of your brain and your pelvis 9 energetically speaking).

Really only you know. I don't believe there'd be red flags and if there were what would I as a yoga teacher be able to say? Nothing really.

If nothing else, looking inside will give you a tool for future considerations.

personally, i prefer Dharma Mittra's 500 hr teacher training. it also has the possibility for a good apprenticeship-style scenario.

but definately check out Om studio and get a feel for the place and the teachers before signing up.

thank you all for your input! Mish -Good to know you've heard nice things. It's my plan to visit Om as often as I can this month, Zoe-I've heard dharma mittra is a fantastic teacher, but doesn't focus on alignment in the least- which is something i'd love to get a very thorough backround in. I'll check it out regardless, though. the apprenticeship piece is definately appealing. Purna- I was really looking for broad impressions/ ideas/ compliments or warnings. I know opinions are subjective, & I do take that into consideration when receiving advice. It's all good! thanks anyway.

DM is of the sivananda tradition and they're more 'loose' about alignment, but not unsafe. they simply teach it from a different perspective. he teaches much more 'esoteric' stuff than other teacher trainings.

I'm going to try to take DM's session at the Omega Conference in NY this Sept. I heard he's great in person.
