Has anyone heard anything (good or bad) about Yandara Yoga Teacher Training? I am thinking of doing the training there next summer. Any input would be great. Thanks in advance!

One of the principal teachers at Yandara is Victor Oppenheimer, who is also an owner of yoga.com. and an Iyengar teacher.

The link in the previous post (from Arjuna Weeping) leads to a message that states the participant "came away" with their Iyengar certification which. to my knowledge is not possible unless they were holding an assessment there. And you are not allowed anywhere in the world as far as I know, to be assessed for Iyengar certification with only 4 weeks of training. That would be my only concern.

I have not HEARD as you ask.
Obviously this is registered with Yoga Alliance (in the state of Washington) and the faculty bios might lead one to believe they are very qualified teachers.

I don't know them. Discernment is appropriate no matter who the teacher training is offered by.
Just because one is a good yogi, a good pupil, and studies with a teacher over decades does not mean they have skills to teach others how to teach. It can be so but it's not mutually inclusive.

But if one is going to go on background, longevity, and such then this seems to be a veteran group. I'd want to see the actual curiculum and know who is conducting the training and how many contact hours I'm getting in each of the five YA catagories before making a decision with my money.

If you have practiced yoga for at least 6 months then i would definitely advice you to join Yandara Yoga Teacher Training. Also i would recommend you to join Yandara Yoga Institute as this institute provides training you need to become Yoga Alliance Certified.
