Subject: Short Sequence

When you only have an hour to practice, is it better to go as far as you can in the primary series and then savasana, or go through the series for 45-ish minutes, then the finishing poses and savasana, or is there another way to structure the session? I know Guruji says you shouldn't miss out asanas and that you should always do the finishing sequence, but I do enjoy David Swenson's 45 minute short sequence and wondered if there was an equivalent 60 minute sequence. I don't really like having to watch the clock, as it tends to distract from my practice.

David Swneson's short forms are really good. Some practice is better than none, even if you're just doing sun salutations. I sometimes go till Navasana, or to Mari D, or even stop at standing postures if I don't have time. I always finish though.

Don't watch the clock unless you really need to
