Joemasa,

Which Ashram are you looking to go to? I can say that while the course may be a overwhelming at times, it is just the beginning of becoming a teacher. From my experience you will be able to teach at most studios that do not teach in a particular discipline (ie. Ashtanga, Bikram, Iyengar) but sometimes these owners may have empty studio time and would be willing to try something different to draw new members in. Most studios do offer a variety of disciplines so this should not be too much of a problem. Look into gettting your 500 hour certification within 2-3 years afterwards, by this time you will have a decent amount of experience teaching others and the course will resinate more.
You will be able to teach a beginners class with little or no supervision depending on your past experience and . I will let you know that Sivananda plays heavy emphasis on Philosophy and the Gurukalam system. If you are going to Woodbourne, NY for your TTC I can assure you that the experience will be amazing as this is where I attended my TTC. I have heard many good things about the other Ashrams but have never been to any other.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Om Shanti,
Ravi
