| Karma Yoga, Volunteering, and Adventure in Peru this June!
Karma Yoga Journey’s will be offering an inspiring new type of tourism and volunteer vacation this upcoming June in Peru. The 15 day program from June 16th to June 30th is uniting humanitarian work within the local community of Cuzco, Peru with the underlying purpose of Karma Yoga. This trip is meant to not only provide a meaningful cultural immersion, but also the opportunity to explore one’s capacity for connecting with others and transforming the self.
What the trip includes:
• Full room and board at a local guesthouse including all vegetarian meals
• Daily Iyengar yoga and meditation classes
• Community projects with local orphanage children and ecological conservation work
• Cultural and adventure activities in the Sacred Valley
• All onsite domestic transportation upon arrival in Cuzco, Peru
• Health and travel insurance
Sacred Valley adventures include:
• Ollantaytambo – One of the best sites for ancient Inca terraces, the Temple of the Sun, and views of the surrounding Sacred Valley.
• Pisac – A ceremonial centre amidst mountain-top ruins and one the best market areas for artisan goods.
• Sacsayhuayman – Includes panoramic vistas of Cuzco, an ancient astronomical tower, the tunnels and caves of the Qenko ruin, and the Temple of the Moon.
• Cusco – The center for Andean culture, with museums, sacred buildings, markets, shops, and vibrant nightlife.
• Chicon – An adventure to remember! Trip includes hiking near snow-capped glaciers, crossing streams, and exploring waterfall trails in the Peruvian forest.
• Moray, Salineras and Pichingoto – Walk along the Urubamba River, past the cliff dwelling houses, and to the Salineras, the Inca Salt Pans.
• Machu Picchu (optional excursion at the conclusion of the program)
Ranging from a one day stay to a two day Incan hike, Machu Picchu is truly the grand finale to this amazing journey.
This all-inclusive journey to Peru’s Sacred Valley which includes daily Iyengar and Karma Yoga is $2195 double occupancy, excluding airfare to Peru.
