Subject: Iyengar to Ashtanga

My number one Iyengar Yoga studio doesn't have the times available I can Yoga. So with much fear and I will venture to the dark side and take Ashtanga. The flows those evil flows of motion is what I fear. Any suggestions to make the change easier, or one to stop me from looking do foolish out on the floor?

Chris my friend, I can only offer you support for your venture...and may God have mercy upon your soul. I think the opening chant actually translates, "Abandon hope all ye who enter this practice."

don't try too hard

skip the vinyasas if you feel like it

don't put your mat too close to a really tall guy like me or you might end up getting touched accidentally, of course.
