I get that a lot too, my mother's chiropractor told her that the popping sound is her body creating space in the joint and not to worry about it. I hope that's right.

s'funny, i used to pop a ton like everywhere...
especially in twists, i'd get a dozen little pops and cracks in my lower and middle back.
but now, two plus years into yoga, not really so much popping.
still some pretty juicy ones in my hips, and a couple in my knees and ankles.
whats funny, though, is old pops will go away, and i'll get new ones in new places.
its like i open up new areas, and then have to learn to navigate them properly.
...
its funny when someone pops SUPER loud in class, and everyone looks over wide eyed, to make sure nothing important got broken...

My sternum pops sometimes when I do backbends etc. It freaks out body workers from time to time The rare time I do navasna my SI pops in and out so that the person beside me in class asks if I'm ok
