Hi Manpreet - it is interesting how often this subject arises here, especially how often the inquiry is from the east. Most people, even over 40 yrs old, will lengthen their muscles with a good, consistent yoga practice and many do seem to "grow" but I have never heard of anyone gaining 2 inches of height. She needs to find an experienced asana teacher, develop a practice she can do daily and see what happens over a couple of years.

The treatment for this is internal.
We are in the container for our Dharma, no?
Manpreet, why is your wife unhapppy with her height?
How should this unhappiness be resolved or treated?
Who is she that her container and its size is more important than her heart and light?

From an asana perspective, if she is very compressed (which I doubt) and she could uncompress (which is possible a bit) she might be microscopically taller. But to do yoga for this and to place expectation for two inches sets one up for suffering. Remember this definition of suffering: "the gap between what we think life should be and what it actually is" this is suffering. And we're working to end our suffering and liberate.
