| I've practiced the last five days and I've been fine, but this morning I woke up so sore.
What did I do? Did I eat too many chocolate chip cookies? One of my student baked me some cookies and brought them to me yesterday. It was really sweet of her and I ate about 5 of them.
Could it be the sugar? Or the 5 days in a row...
I will try my practice at lunch today. I hope my body opens up...ugh!

| Eric - never, ever blame chocolate! My guess is that you are coming down with something. I hope not, though! |

| I second that! Never blame the chocolate. ;)
Eric; Either you're coming down with something, or your body simply just telling you that it needs to rest for a day or two. |

| coming down with something....
I hope not. We practice with Guruji next week in the keys! I have not been sick since I started yoga 5 years ago. Not one single cold, not one sore throat, etc..
yes, chocolate is a wonderful thing. You're right
I forgot to mention. I practiced yesterday, adjusted and taught ashtanga, washed my car, mowed the lawn, sweep the porch, blew the leaves, took care of my 4 month old son, and cleaned the kitchen....I was on overdrive this weekend.

| Do not even THINK of blaming the chocolate. chocolate is innocent, it is a n essential of life!
your weekend sounds dizzying even to me, and i never know when to slow down. So your body is saying "take it easy, rest a while", especially since you know you have some intense days ahead with Guruji

| I will take it easy.
I do not like to slow down, but I listen to my body.
The soreness is in the belly of the muscles...not the joints.. thank God.

| Take a day of Savasana. Maybe in that light, you'll accept the rest that your body is telling you that it needs. |
