| My teacher gave us this sequence today and it was sooooo interesting...from kurmasana and supta kurmasana, raised up to tittibhasana A and then lightly jump back through to Chaturanga and then a Vinyasa
my question is how do you smooth out the "lightly jump" part and maintain the integrity of the chaturanga? Is that something that comes with practice?
Ohhh, Kapotasana is coming, bit by bit

Location: canada | are you doing a pure traditional ashtanga class or is it just power yoga (those don't sound like primary series poses to me, or are you beyond the primary series ). anyway, any jump back to chaturanga will always be as floaty as possible for you.
have you tried the bujupidasana -> bakasana -> chaturanga -> vinyasa sequence?? for some reason i'm not visualizing kurmasana to tttibhasana, |

| bandhas, i see it now
@fechter, kurmasana to tittibhasana is possible if you start raising your head and chest, at the same time bending your outstretched arms (your thighs are resting on your upper arms), and if you engage your bandhas you can lift up into the pose

Location: A Blue State | Yes, this is a standard primary series vinayasa. Lift from Supta Kurmasana to an ankles entwined version of Tittibhasana, release the ankles to proper Tittibhasana, bend the lower legs back into Bakasana, and from there [jump.float.stretch] the legs back while bending the elbows so that you land in Chaturanga Dandasana. .. bg |

| this is what I thought, but being primarily a Power Vinyasa gal, i'm still unfamiliar with the Primary Series by heart
