Subject: getting back to fighting shape

So, I sit here today. 199 pounds. At one point around xmas I was 210.

Crossed the 200 mark and I'm staying under. I only thing I really did different is practice strict ashtanga primary (most times only standing and dandasana and finishing) about 45-50 minutes practice.

The biggest difference in my practice is in forward bending and twisting. I'm finally able to bind in my marchis and on a good day (when I'm doing full series), I fold all the way to my shins in all the forward bends. I missed it. It feels great.

I also gave up one of my biggest vices. Sunflower seeds. I have tendency to eat the whole bag in one setting. This takes about an hour to eat a whole bag. You know you have a problem when you can fall asleep eating sunflower seeds. Eating seeds puts me in this meditative state. I've actually been known to sleep eat when I'm eating them. semi-conscience. dream-like state, etc.. Who needs drugs when you have sunflower seeds?

Although I did purchase some today, I'm going to reserve them for special treats.

Ive lost 7kg (sorry our scales are set to metric) since I've been doing ashtanga (5-6 days a week since last Sept) and I'm eating like a horse too. No sunflower seeds though I'm keen on a bar of Dairy Milk. Surely if it was bad for you it would taste awful?
