| It looks like my ganesh is missing the two upper arms. Hmmmm.... He is also sitting up toes together, knees wide apart. He is actually a very cute fella. When I first began yoga, I was horrified by this diety. The image was scarey. Some of them still are. But this particular one "spoke" to me. I had to have him. In Rahini, Susan |

| I love Ganesh. He helps us remove obstacles He also loves food and dancing so I have always thought of him as a party god |

| Shree Ganesh is the most popular deity in India, and is worshipped in each ceremony, before other deiies are worshipped, even his father Shree Shiva. Shree Ganesha is a form of OM and therefore looks like elephant headed in some way. There are various forms of Shree Ganesha due to variety of manifestations to Yogis during meditation in terms of colour, shape, etc. There are literally thousands of mantras and prayers on Shree Ganesha. The most popular formal worship prayer is Shree Ganesha Atharvasheersham. It is partially explained in my very first book (which is a printout of a speech) and it also comes ith 3 audios, one helping to learn chanting, the other two are audio book of the same printed book.
The other two common prayers are in my other Audio, Shree Ganesha Sahasranam, where Nancy is playing Cello. The Sahasranam recording is NOT done by anyone else to my knowledge.
OM Shree ganeshaaya namaH.
