| Dear Friends,
I'd like to know what is the best way to partialize the total serie. I've read that it may be first stand asanas and other day the postures in ground, but i want to know if there exists another simple partial serie that has a mixture of two.

| Hi,
David Swenson's short forms are an option. There are 3 routines (15, 30 and 45 minutes).
They can be found in his book (Ashtanga practice manual) or in the Short Forms DVD.

| Hi Ashtangui,
Remember, what is often refered to as 'the primary series' actually has four parts to it: the sun salutations, the standing series, the actual primary series it's self and the finishing series.
Each part prepares the body the the next.
The David Swenson short form dvd is an excellent choice.
The forms are also shown in his book.

| Somedays I am so tired that after the sun salutationsA,b I pack it in.Other days I make it thru all the standing sequences before I pack it in.On my good days,I do the whole primary series from beginnning to end.
Aspring to do the whole primary series every time I practice is somethng I am aimming for but somedays I just don't feel as good or as rested as other days to do it.
Looking back on it sometimes I don't eat right or eat too much(making me feel heavy) that sometimes causes tiredness or sleepiness.Other times I just don't sleep or rest well and feel drenched the following day.
Proper diet and rest are the two major things that would probably help me in achieving more consistent daily practice.
