Subject: Harmony Mat Falling Apart

My Harmony is falling apart-

it has "worn" places on the surface

and threads on the side are pulling out.

Anyone else have this problem?

It is 6 months old

does it get a lot of sunlight? do you wash it often (in a machine with heavy soaps)? these are typically the two main reasons why you have early 'break down' of the mat.

otherwise, couldn't say. i've not had that problem with mine (except that October J ate some of it).

I have washed it twice on gentle cycle  in 6 months-hung to dry in the shade.

yeah, i really couldn't say.

i mean, the one i have stays indoors, or wrapped up, or in the trunk of the car--so no sunlight at all really. i've heard that's the worst thing for natural rubber. perhaps you should contact the manufacturer and see what's what?
