I've whined and vented in the past about classes that didn't go so well, so I thought it was only fair to post about the great class I taught today.

I'm not saying *I* was great, mind - the students were. And not because everyone was perfectly aligned in Parivrtta Trikonasana, but because they came with the right attitude and energy. Everything seemed to flow perfectly - even I didn't mess up as (much as) usual. It was the last class of the day, and everyone stuck around for over half an hour talking about yoga afterwards. Something different happened tonight even though I can't quite put my finger on what it was.

I'm kind of dreading next class, now. I'm not sure I'll have one like this in the near future

That's so great for you! I know exactly how you feel, being a new teacher as well, and how sometimes the energy is just right in the room and you have no idea how it got that way, nor how to replicate it for next time. I guess the best thing to do is remember that sense of being in the groove (as opposed to being stuck in a rut!) for when you teach your next class, but try not to have any expectations for being there again. Good luck, and congrats!

Congrats!!! Maybe the stars where lined up right. Did you write down your asanas that day? I write mine out and when something really clicks, I'll have a record of it and do it again down the road. When something doesn't work-I make a note of it and drop it. Keep up the good work!
