Subject: Kundalini Texts

Hi everyone. Glad I found this forum, I'm on a search...I'm interested in the history of Kundalini and wondered if anyone here can help? I've got a reasonable library of books from this century on the subject, and some say that there are tens of texts that describe its use and manifestation going right back to ancient times. Whilst I've looked at many of the texts concerned, none seem to be talking about Kundalini, or raising it, in the same way that it is described in the more recent books. In fact the link between the old texts and modern descriptions of Kundalini seem a bit weak. Can anyone point me to some early texts that use it by name, or show a direct correlation?
