| i use the bag that came with a camp chair that i used to have.
the problem i find with most mat bags on the market is that they are not big enough to carry thicker mats.
i use a mandara, and it simply will not fit in the cute trendy bags currently on the market.
this is the kind of chair i'm talking about.
i don't think the bag is pictured.
this bag is also big enough to hold a block and some straps.
i use a big backpack to carry my blankets around.

| HI.
THANKS for sharing!
I see that there are some different sizes bag for mat. Just it only designs for yoga mat...i dont think people will buy that if it can only be one use and not cute...I will strat to make myself one carrier but it could be a belt and its cute |

| cute is the last thing I am worried about in a mat carrier. I care that it works. |

| Hi, aystam,

| My brother got me a really cute bag..but it has the drawstring top. Problem was that my sticky Harmony mat didn't go into the bag- too sticky. So, I took it to a tailor and had it modified. We closed the drawstring end and added a zipper the length of the bag. Now, it's great!! So, that would be my suggestion- eliminate the drawstring and add a zipper instead. |

| Ah bags, my favourite pet hate with yoga. I practise Iyengar so have a stack of polestyrene bricks and blocks, straps, etc to tote alongside my mat. I also carry a little gymnast's chalk. So, any bag big enough to pack all this in with separate sections for mat, tools, chalk, and kit would be fabulous. If it had a selection of methods of carrying, it would be five star. Just send the prototype to me for testing :-)

| Fee - before we had a studio we carried all of our props, including blankets. I had a HUGE heavy duty nylon bag for awhile then gave up and found two bags worked better. When we travel in the car, I have figured out ways to keep the bulk of the props down, but often I just don't take any more than a mat and strap and improvise the rest. I would love to have a folding chair that REALLY folds up small. That is one thing I never (yet) have taken along with me |

| just take an old pair of cargo pants - cut off one of the legs to length, sew the other end up and *poof* your own mystical magical yoga bag!
add straps for carrying to taste. |

| Tourist, I hear you! I wish I could take my pet bolster to class but as I don't drive and have a 3/4 hour walk to get there, it's a non-starter..... hey, perhaps this mega kit bag should be on wheels!

| Fee - ok, I know what you mean when you say "pet bolster" but I keep imagining a bolster stuffed with fluffy kitties and puppies! It would be warm but wiggly! |
