This is not exactly a probing in depth question, but I'm hoping some people have some ideas. I've been searching in vain for some new yoga pants for the husband. He already has a pair of Be Present pants that he pretty much lives in.

Here's some criteria:
Must be moisture wicking and can't be an energy waster by taking forever to dry in my dryer (so no 100% cotton)
Full length, not crop
Looks decent enough to wear running errands without making my husband look like a schlub in sweatpants (his criteria, not really mine)
Minimal or no velcro
Loose enough to practice in but not overly baggy
Sweatshop free fair trade would be hugely preferable

Any ideas? I would have to be buying online given where I'm living right now.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Thanks, we looked at those - there's some hemp pants, but unfortunately only come in earth tones. I know, picky picky. Good suggestion though.

Kimberlee - I often suggest that people go to a local place that makes clothing for dance recitals. Check at any dance school where they have millions of little girls running around in tutus The place I go to locally has lots of nice, basic tights and "yoga" pants and will customize for a small fee. The other thing that often works well for guys is climbing apparel. Try R.E. I. They seem to have some nice stuff. I love the micro fleece jacket I got there recently. (Which has nothing at all to do with men's yoga gear, but I really love the jacket!)

Thanks tourist,

I actually found some at REI that were great, except they were way too long.

I like the idea of custom too, that's not a bad one.

We might just wait until spring when REI and a couple of the local outdoor gear shops get in their new warm weather lines.

prana's rock climbing line is probably a good way to go. the fabrics have a lot of give and move to them, and they look like casual pants generally. a lot of guys at the rock gym wear them all the time--in and out of the gym, yoga, etc.

i have a pair of rock climbing pants from prana, of course women's, and i wear them for yoga, out and about, and rock climbing.

admittedly, my favorite rock climbing pants are jeans (with stretch), and my favorite yoga pants are jeans (with stretch)--but somehow, my various employers think it looks "unprofessional" while i think it looks really cute, hip, and approachable.

but they want me to look like i belong in the gym. and so i'm like "fine whatever."

but, like your hubs, i don't like to look like a "shlub" outside of yoga, and even though i buy prana ono pants or american apparel pants (cotton, though, and they wore out quicker than i liked), and people like that look around here--it's not my bag. i much prefer to look 'dressed.'

anyway, rock climbing pants are an option.

Stretch jeans are amazingly comfortable, what a difference 3% spandex can make.
