| Hello - I am hoping someone from this wonderful community can help me find a specific yoga book.
There was a particular yoga instruction book that I used about 15 years ago, when I was in my teens. My copy was lost, and I've been looking for another copy of it for several years now - however I am hampered by not remembering the title, author, or style of yoga.
The book originally belonged to my mother, and I believe it to have been published in the late 70s or early 80s. The spine was a white plastic spiral/comb binding so that the book could lay flat. I believe the cover was white, with an illustration of someone in the lotus position - the chakras may have been colorfully highlighted, or perhaps there were just circles of color at different points on the body. The contents had photographs rather than illustrations, and there were variations for each asana. There were also ~30 minute short forms, I believe they were of varying degree of difficulty/advancement.
I know it isn't a lot of information to go on, but perhaps there is someone out there that this rings a bell for. |

| Well - that could be a lot of books. Kareen Zeebroff's books were like that and I think Lilias Folan's books were also spiral bound. Those may be earlier than your book. This may sound silly, but do you remember the style of hair or clothing? That might give a clue. Male or female author's name? |

| Thank you for the response!
The auther was male with a western name, and I believe he had one or two co-authors - and I do not recall their genders. The pictures were likely in black and white. I don't recall specifics about the hairstyles and clothing, other than a late 70s feel - they were wearing excercise gear in every picture.
Again, not a lot to go on |

| I have an old paperback by Harvey Day (not spiral) and I think another one by Richard Hittleman.
Here is a link to Amazon :

Look familiar?
Are you planning to use these books for your own yoga practice? Some of the info on alignment may be sadly out of date with these old books. |

| That wasn't it - however I'm grateful for your help
Yes - I was planning on using it for myself. I haven't done Yoga for many years, and wanted to start back with the book that helped me so much the first time. I may just have to open up and let a new book come in. |

| Take a look at Cindy Dollar's Yoga Your Way or Patricia Walden and Linda Sparrowe's book of yoga for women. Both are great. |
