That is great to hear. I know BKS sent a special post-earthquake practice to one area some years ago. He included savasana with eyes open to help reduce anxiety. Anyone who has had any sort of big event like this knows how the fear often comes back the second you close your eyes.

I love how they not only demonstrated health benefits but emphasized how yoga reaches across religious denominations.

That's really useful how Mr. Iyengar adapted the practice to meet the needs of people in crisis. I'll have to remember that if I volunteer with any sort of people in a crisis.
