Subject: The perfect mat?

In my endless quest for the perfect mat for me, I have recently bought on of these :

http://www.theyogashop.co.uk/shop/chakra-cotton-mat-latex-backing-p-5123.html

It's a little early to say yet, but this is possibly the best mat I've had so far.

There's a skinny layer of sticky latex on the underside that's not too annoying to be on when the mat's folded (you daren't fold it inward as it's like ripping the backing off sticky-back plastic to get it to part company again ). The working surface is tough cotton that only slighty pushes into your bony bits when kneeling/sitting on it and manages to be both sweat-absorbant and non-slip. It stays rolled-up without persuation and is surprisingly light weight given the materials.

Sweet! Thanks for the review and link Fee. You know when I read/hear "The perfect anything" I still think of the Perfect Cheer:

those were funny sketches. it's so hard to find the perfect mat. i miss the days of just practicing on the hard wood.

lol

i'm making the perfect brownies:

sugar
whole wheat flour (soaked in buttermilk overnight)
cocoa powder made from raw 'nibs'
eggs
a smidge of corn starch
vanilla yogurt (whole, raw)
and some dark ghiridelli's bits tossed in for "good measure."

because you want good measure when you want brownies.

i dreamed of these brownies last night. so yummy.

Well, I made a Tuscan Loaf, with Spelt flour to go with my Ensalada's....it's totally perfect!

ZB, hows the good ole' taste buds going?? Noticed anything "unusual" yet???

My perfect mat is the one that I happen to grab and have the perfect yoga....in the same day. It's also nice when I'm color coordinated, but not necessarily, hehee,

well, i've noticed a lot of things unusual.

but if you mean whether or not i'm showing--i can see a difference and my clients can (the ones who see me most), but otherwise i look "normal" and i've only gained about 5 lbs so far and i'm 14 weeks.

i don't have really unusual cravings, though tonight we're having brownies with mint chocolate chip ice cream (ryan has to bring the cream home, so we wont have this til a lot later!)

i made an olive tapinade and the rolled it into my wheat bread and baked that up. it was yummy.

and i think i'll have an avocado/tomato salad tonight! before brownies and ice cream!

Hi Zoe, I made brownies the other day. I put some oranges that I dried in mine, it was great.

For some reason I thought your message said if you were showering or not. It was pretty funny when I read it wrong.
