i've recently added club (gada) swinging to my weight routine.

i'd seen references to it in Indian wrestling texts, but hadn't tried it until now.

i find out now that club swinging, as well as the more traditional 'indian clubs' are back in vogue.

circular/dynamic motions appeal to me more than static lifts. as a former powerlifter i really feel that large full body motions create an overall fitness versus muscle targeting.

if you haven't seen it before, here's the legendary wrestler Karl Gotch swinging:

and in traditional context:

Hi there,
Looks like russian kettlebell training-you might like kettlebells too, I would think you can have more variety. Lots of kettlebell stuff on youtube.

kettlebells are great. one of the reasons i chose my new gym was that they had a rack of kettlebells in addition to regular weights, not to mention medicine balls.

gada is just another 'tool'. i don't stick with any routine for longer than about two weeks. i get bored easily if the workout gets repetitive.
