Yay! As of Sunday, I finished my 200HR TT. I'm both happy and sad, of course. I did discover that trying to do the graded teaching praticum while loaded up on codeine is not the best of ways to do the best job you know you can. (I came down with bronchitis the day before the last four days of the session, from a cold that started five days before that. I had to do something to lessen the HORRID coughing during everyone else's teaching, as it echoed like crazy in the room we were in.)

I'm looking forward to continuing to teach, and continuing my education!

Whee!

Congratulations!! I just got my first bill from YA to renew my RYT, so I guess it's been a year for me already. Feels much longer... like I've been doing this all my life... lives...

So now that you've finished, what are you going to do? Go to Disneyland?

Wow - good for you. I often taught when I wasn't 100% when I was in training because I figured there would be days when I just had to do it later as well. A codeine haze is not especially recommended during a graded performance, but c'est la vie! Congrats.

Atta girl Tiff! Welcome to the club. Please keep us posted as to how things go. Have you had the initiation ceremony yet? It was tough back in the day--virginal sacrifice and all. Nowadays you just have to cover yourself in Cyndi's honey, do a headstand, and recite one of Neel's chanting CDs verbatim.

Seriously kiddo--congratulations--proud to be part of your world.

Were you trained on the wall ropes?

I wish! I plan to do some additional workshops and classes that use them. As soon as I can find the time, I'd like to take some more traditional Iyengar classes in Seattle, but really, there are a lot of teachers I'd like to work with, and I need to let my ambitions not run away with me.

Congratulations!  I graduate from my YTT this weekend.  It's spread over 9 months.  On the one hand I feel we've learned so much, on the other hand, I can see how much we still don't know.  Lifelong learning, that is yoga.

Congrats to you as well Jennifer. As I continue past my mid-century mark, I've discovered everything is lifelong learning...dammit.
