Just started trying to fit this pose into my practice, but I can't seem to get a hand through my lotus. Any tips gratefully received. I know it's easier if you are sweaty, but there must be a way to create at least a bit more space. Right now I couldn't even get a (metaphorical) fag (cigarette) paper in there.

The trick is the 1st foot. right foot must be nested at the hip crease. Probably same problem you have with Marchi B.

However, once the foot is correct. turn your palm up to the sky and slide it palm up through your legs. I do right hand 1st for some reason.

I'm getting my foot nice and high in mari b now, one of the reasons I thought I was ready to move on a bit. Still seems to be no way that hand is going through. Should I be rotating my foot a bit more maybe? Or is it just one of those " practice and all is coming" things?

It never looks like it will fit. Remember your muscles need to relax. It's pretty much the same opening that it takes to do Bound lotus in finishing, urdha padmasana, janu c. It's all the same really...

That makes some sense. Apart from urdhva padmasana I'm still not quite there in all the other poses. I can bind either hand in bound lotus but not both at once. I'll try to relax a bit.
Thanks,

Ian
