Subject: Looking for a good yoga teacher training in India

Hi all,

I've heard that you can do yoga teacher trainings in India for a period of 4 to 6 weeks. Due to circumstances I have found the time right now in the next 3 months to come.
So, if anyone could advice me on this, that would be great for I'd like to start this as soon as possible.
So does anybody know a really good training center, ashram or whatever.
It doesn't even have to be in India though I thought it to be the best place possible to learn everything correctly...

Hope to have a lot reactions.
warm regards
Nathalie

Hello Nathalie,
I've been in India for nearly a year and done 2 Teacher Trainings.
There is one great teacher that I can recommend you, he's name is Bharat Shetty, check out his web page: yoga-india.org and yoga-india.net
If there is anything else specific about yoga in India please feel free to ask.
Hope you find what you seek.
Much love and all the best

Dear Shukradev,

I read your post here and got very interested.
I am in the same shoes as Nathalie, and checked out the website you proposed.

However, I cannot see the prices of the course. Could you please tell me about that and in general about the conditions of living. Where did you live, costs of living, food, transport etc. And also whether this course gives any formal certification that is accepted in Europe.

Another question is, given that you took already two courses, how would you define the criteria of a good teacher's course?

THanks a lot for your advice in advance!
