Hi

is it inly me or do you also find it difficult to tidy up things when going deepedr in the eagle pose? ot always the case, but most times my legs can support a deeper posture but my 'pride' cannot. I guess it comes down to the garment you wear and nature's generosity, but I'm curious to see if other bikram yogis have the same difficulty and if there is a way to overcome or help the situation?

Initially it was not a problem but as I progress and I'm able to balance better and sit deeper, every time I hear the 'become the shortest person in the room' inntruction I want to shout 'no thanks, I want to have kids one day!'

thanks!

No you are NOT alone! We've discussed this in the past and you will NOT get any sympathy here--especially from the women folk as there are many asanas that their equipment gets in the way. Baron Baptiste HATES eagle and frequently simply does not do it--and I'm with him.

Of course, the party line is that the tourniquet effect works on the genitalia as well.

What happens when you pull a "Jame Gumb" and tuck it all in before the posture?

as carson said, make sure your junk is over your thighs and you shouldn't have any problems.
having the balls tucked in feels like you're going to pop one real quick.

What I have noticed is in the beginning of my bikram practise "they" hurt for days after from the eagle pose. Now that I have squashed them in so many sessions they have lost all sensation and no longer hurt. I'm sure it's a great form of birth control. Who needs them anyway?
