| Hi everyone, I just joined this forum because I have some questions about my AFAA cert exam. I have been studying since june 1st and still going strong! My exam is to be taken aug 30th.
I'm freakin out over the practical part. I have no idea what to expect. What do they make you do?? Can someone please give me an example? I need severe help with this.
I'm really bad at taking tests, always have been. I bought the $20 practice test and have done pretty good on it this week. The first time I got 68 out of 75 correct. Went back and reread the ones I got wrong, then took the test over again and got a 100! How many questions are on the exam????
I have never taught a class so I do not know what to even come up with for the practical. Help, I'm freaking out!

| I was looking at AFAA's blog--looks like a practical section is part of their workshops--didn't you get a chance to take that part of the cert?

| No I don't have the money to take the workshop. I just found this as well;
1. In order to pass the practical exam, you will need to successfully give an AFFA instructor a fitness assessment test. This test involves administering a 3-minute aerobic step test, sit-and-reach flexibility test, push-up/abdominal crunch strength training assessment and test for body fat percentage using skin-fold caliper measurements.
But then found this too;
2. demo highlo aerobic workout for 5 min, demo exercise for particular body part, demo 3 progrssive levels teaching an exercise such as a pushup.
So which is it???? What do they make you do really? |
