Any ideas on how I can reach out to high schoolers about yoga? I am starting to teach and after school program and I don't have much experience with this age group. thanks

Keep the class active, don't stress too much about alignment, save the more spiritual aspects until after you have gained their trust and attention. Be prepared for and allow a certain amount of giggling and chatter, especially if it is all girls. DO ask about their physical problems and injuries. Many of the teens I have taught have had some challenging injuries to deal with and they don't always tell you up front. Have fun!

i agree with tourist. also, i found music to be valuable. things like "buddha lounge" were really good for this age group. (buddha lounge is a compilation album that has a "house" feel to them).
