| Hello Wonder-Full Yoginis and Yogis,
If this is not in the correct forum please move it for me.
I'm looking for a one month intensive preferably in the U.S. including Hawai'i!!
All I need is certification to start teaching "legally".
I have experience teaching martial arts (14 years), and have been practicing different types of yoga for a while now and am interested in making the transition to leading yoga classes. I have done some unofficially, and have incorporated play and dance (movement) into it. I am interested in a place that would also include the deeper realms including kirtan and learning the Sanskrit names/terms.
Can any one share where and why you would send someone there?
Namaste,
A Spirited Kali |

| Sorry Kali--know no place where in one-month you can get the RYT certification; that's probably a good thing though. |

| I think that Kripalu in Massachusetts offers a one month program that is accredited by Yoga Alliance. |

| In 2008, I attended the Reflections Yoga one month 200 Hr. Yoga Teacher certification, registered with the Yoga Alliance, in Guatemala. They hold this training every year, and I now teach yoga at a university. I would absolutely recommend this training. I was so moved by my experience that I now work part time for Reflections which is located in NYC but holds trainings around the world. It is by far one of the most affordable trainings out there. If you're interested, you can see all the details here: http://reflectionsyoga.com/training01.php
Good luck finding a training!

| Namaskar, Dreamitdoit,
As mentioned below, Kripalu does have a month-long intensive 200 hr YTT (YA certified school). It is possible to do the program in two week intervals as well, which is what I did. Your background is similar to mine - I enjoyed the "meditation in motion" and inquiry (dance-like) elements of the program. They also have a YogaDance program for instructors, but I haven't taken it. |
