Wow! Has it really been so long since I posted here? I don't even recognize most of the names here anymore. Like Cyndi, I'm over on facebook a lot.. and generally just busy. Not to mention my yoga practice is in the crapper right now.. so I always feel a bit fraudulent posting here when I am not actively practicing.
For those of you who remember me.. my baby girl is now almost 2 1/2. And, we now have a little boy who is 7 weeks old..
We still have the restaurant, though it's vastly different than it was 2 1/2 years ago. We changed just about everything about it. My husband runs it now and I nanny my brother's kids so that I can stay with mine and raise them. It's a lot and I am SPENT at the end of the day. It's a 4yr old, 2 2yr olds and a 7 weeker...but, ultimately worth it for me so I can stay with our children.
How has everyone else been???

i see you on FB, so i'm generally aware. i like looking at the baby pics.

we are doing well here with our business. we are very happy with it, and love the practitioners. we start the yoga studio next week--one gal offering seva and one teacher wanting to start early. another teacher is just continuing her classes independent of us (the studio side of things) which is cool. so that's ongoing.

we are going to "launch" the studio at the end of june with a "30 classes for $30" pass which will allow people to take any class over the six weeks from June 28-Aug 6 for $1! we are in a major business district, so we are offering 7:30 am (pre work), 12/12:30 (lunch!), and 5:30 classes M-F. so they have 15 classes to choose from to start.

I hope to build it up to 40 classes per week: 6:30/7:30/8:30; 11/12/1; 4:30/5:30/6:30 and then also offer private lessons in between and after. all classes are 45 minutes long to accommodate the needs of those here.

socially, we are too busy. too many friends, too many events, and too much fun. but we also get a lot of sleep, so it balances out. LOL

on the kid front, we have decided to hold off talking about any more until hawk is 4/5. he's very active and we enjoy our family of 3. but this will also allow us to establish our business and get everything rolling and see how it pans out. if we want another kid or not. i'll only be 36/7 then, so it's plenty young enough!

that's about what is going on here.

Wow - Marylisa, that all sounds great! Your yoga now is the yoga of mothering. Asana will just have to wait. I remember those days well. I often had day care kids around and, although not as early as 7 weeks, spent a good deal of time with a baby, "twin" toddlers and a preschooler. I kind of enjoyed packing them all up and going out in public and watching people's reactions. The fact that two of them had a Japanese mother made things even more interesting.

Maybe we need a "friends of yoga.com" group on FB.

Hi, I am new to the forum and presenting a quote by Monroe Forester "Hope is always available to us. When we feel defeated, we need only take a deep breath and say, "Yes," and hope will reappear." Thanks
