| I heard from a friend that it is actually healthy to sleep on a mat, yes like a yoga mat, or something similar, on the floor. This is a lot different than the cushy lifestyle most westerners live. Still, I am simply curious. What do you think? Is sleeping on a mat healthy, and does it improve sleep?
Thanks! |

| There have always been people who feel that sleeping on a hard surface such as a floor, mat or no mat, is healthier and more "natural". But I have also read that only organic cotton, white, only dried outdoors is more "natural," which I think a s a load of nonsense. If you really want to go natural, try a bed of leaves and tree boughs out in your back yard. |

Try it and find out for yourself!
Just remember that the "cushy lifestyle most westerners live" is a lifestyle that the rest of the world is working towards as hard as they can. They mostly don't live the "cushy lifestyle" because they cannot afford it, rather than that they are somehow more virtuous.
I would suggest trying to find the Goldilocks solution, neither too hard, nor too soft, but instead just right.
Experiment to find what your personal "just right" is.
