Hi,

I want some suggestions from you. I started doing Bikram Yoga 4-5 weeks back, Initially it was good. I used to do it 2-3 times a week and feel good and light a day or so after the class. Other than hot yoga, I was doing the normal yoga 2 days a week. But in the last 2 weeks, I am feeling so much tightness in my back, in my inner thighs / hamstrings. The condition now is that my mid back and also near the shoulder is hurting. It is so sore that if I stretch my back/ or do that cat portion of the Cat-Cow pose, it pains
What should I do?
Should I go and get it checked by a chiropractor or visit a physical therapist. Should I just give a break and do not do any yoga? Can I still continue with my normal work out in the gym?

Thanks a lot for your advice
~Jyoti

I trust your yoga instructor should be qualified to answer such questions. Otherwise go elsewhere.

Sounds like your muscles are fatiqued and overworked. I would back off and take a rest. Good luck with it all.
